Holy Week and Faces in the Crowd
It is Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week.
The stories of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday are our most cherished faith stories.
Many of these stories involve the crowd.
People whose names we never know.
They sing “Hosanna” and wave palm branches on Palm Sunday.
They shout “Crucify him” on Good Friday.
They follow Jesus from a distance as he walks the way to Calvary.
People of imperfect faith who sometimes see things clearly and, at other times, get it all very wrong.
They are you and me.
Our ministry serves the crowd.
We honor their names and faces – every one. People of imperfect faith seeking hope and peace.
