Honoring Ed & Jean

Yesterday we celebrated the Baptism of the Lord, the final day of the Christmas season. Next Sunday we will hear the story of Jesus calling others to join him in his ministry of peace and healing.

Our ministry is blessed by the humility and generosity of so many who have said "yes" to that call. Among our wonderful family of volunteers Ed and Jean Shifflett stand out as our most loved and admired friends and teachers.

On Sunday, January 24 we will honor Ed and Jean for their many years of service to the countless individuals and families who have sought kindness and compassion at St. Monica's Church and Monica's Kitchen.

The celebration will take place at the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Monica's Church. Even with a mandatory reduced capacity, St. Monica's can safely accommodate a high number of friends and guests. Even so, we are asking that you let us know in advance if you plan to attend. Kindly email your RSVP to deaconpaulkline@gmail.com. We are hoping to livestream the celebration for those unable to join us in person.
